The Long Table

Dinner in Valpolicella for twenty or so members, with the makers at the table rather than on a stage.

The most valuable thing a club of this kind produces is not a ride. It is the evening after it — when a collector from Tokyo, a framebuilder from Verona and someone who has been riding for two years end up on the same bench arguing about paint.

The Long Table exists to make that happen deliberately rather than by luck. One table, mixed seating, good local wine, and no speeches.

What happens

  1. 01Aperitivo, standing, deliberately unstructured.
  2. 02One long table, seated by us rather than by you.
  3. 03Food from where you are sitting, at length.
  4. 04Nobody leaves early.

A sequence, not a schedule. Times are set once dates are fixed.
