Atelier access

Inside the Atelier

A morning in a working Verona workshop, watching a frame be made and asking the questions you have always wanted to ask.

Frames are not built in front of audiences, so this is not a demonstration staged for visitors. It is a small group standing in a working shop on a working morning, close enough to see the flux go glassy, with the person doing it willing to stop and explain.

You will leave understanding why a hand-built steel frame costs what it costs, and probably wanting one. Nothing on this morning is a sale, and the club takes no part in what you decide afterwards.

What happens

  1. 01An introduction to the workshop and to what is on the bench that week.
  2. 02Tube selection and mitring, explained at the machine.
  3. 03Brazing, watched closely.
  4. 04Questions, for as long as they last.

A sequence, not a schedule. Times are set once dates are fixed.
