What VCC is
Verona Cycling Club is a private membership, headquartered in Verona and global in who belongs to it.
It gives members four things that are difficult to arrange alone: the roads of the Veneto and the people who know them; time inside working ateliers where steel frames are still built by hand; a community of members who take this seriously without taking themselves seriously; and a share in keeping the craft alive.
It is not a club you visit once. It is somewhere to belong, in a place worth belonging to.
Ride from the source
Verona sits where the plain stops. Eleven minutes from a courtyard in the old city you are climbing the Torricelle; ninety minutes and you are on the Lessinia plateau, where the walls are dry stone, the grass is pale, and you can ride for an hour without meeting a car.
West, Lake Garda: an eastern shore that empties around dawn and a mountain, Monte Baldo, that climbs from the water into something close to the Alps. Between them, Valpolicella — terraces, cypresses, and a road network built for people going between villages rather than between cities.
None of this is scenery. It is where the bicycles were designed to be ridden, by people who rode them here.
Four dimensions
Members arrive through different doors and end up in the same rooms. The digital platform, when it comes, is the thread that keeps all four connected between visits — not the product itself.

The Club →Behind the craft
Two Verona ateliers, Chesini and ZULLO, sit within the same group as VCC. That relationship is the reason members can stand in a working shop on a working morning rather than at an event arranged for visitors.
What that makes possible: frame-building demonstrations at the bench. Conversations with the people who do it, about geometry, tubing, finish, and the hundred decisions between an idea and an object. Masterclasses for members who want to try it themselves and discover exactly how difficult it is.
L’Accademia
The knowledge that builds a steel frame lives in a small number of hands. It was never written down, because it cannot be: you learn it at a bench, over years, from someone who already knows.
L’Accademia exists to keep that transmission going — apprenticeship, documentation, and the ordinary, unglamorous continuity of one generation teaching the next. Membership of VCC is what funds it.
This is the part of the club that outlasts the club. It is also the least romantic: it looks like a young person ruining offcuts for eight months until something holds.
A life around cycling
The rides are the reason people arrive and almost never the reason they stay. What holds a club of this kind together is the evening afterwards — one long table in Valpolicella, a cellar, an archive, a conversation about paint that goes on far too long.
So the calendar has dinners in it, and talks, and studio visits, and celebrations, and journeys where the bicycle is the thread rather than the point. Partners are welcome whether or not they ride. Nobody is asked how fast they are.
Membership
The Founding Circle is the club’s first cohort: a limited number of members who join at the beginning and shape what the beginning turns out to be — the first rides, the first gatherings, the first apprenticeships.
It is by application. You write to us, one of us reads it, and if there is a fit we have a conversation before either side commits. There is no checkout on this website, and there will not be one.
